receiving an indication of a power adjustment mode for an uplink multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission, the indication further indicating at least one uplink channel processing stage for implementing the power adjustment, the at least one uplink channel processing stage comprising one or more of a first stage after precoding, a second stage after layer mapping and prior to the precoding, a third stage before the layer mapping, or a combination thereof; and adjusting power of the uplink MIMO transmission at the at least one indicated uplink channel processing stage and according to the power adjustment mode.
