A touch input device according to the present invention comprises: a touch sensor panel including a plurality of driving electrodes and a plurality of receiving electrodes; a driving unit for applying an operation signal to the driving electrodes; a detecting unit for receiving a receiving signal including information about capacitance changed according to a touch of an object for a touch surface of the touch sensor panel; a standard potential layer spaced at a first distance apart from the touch sensor panel; and a control unit for detecting a touch position for the touch surface according to at least one of a change amount of a reciprocating capacity according to a change in the first distance and an autonomous capacity by the detecting unit in a first operation mode, and detecting pressure of the touch through any one of a change amount of the reciprocating capacity according to a change in the first distance, a change amount of the autonomous capacity according to a change in the first distance, and an area of the touch surface. |
