An embodiment of the present invention relates to an RFID tag including a protection cover for protecting an IC chip of the RFID tag, and a method for manufacturing the RFID tag. According to an embodiment of the present invention, damage to an IC chip or a bonding point between the IC chip and an antenna can be prevented by providing the protection cover for protecting the IC chip. Also, the protection cover having a taper surface is attached to the RFID tag. The RFID tag is configured to allow the taper surface of the protection cover to face an attachment object article. Therefore, the deterioration of adhesive or adhesive error which may be generated when the RFID tag is attached to a cylindrical article can be prevented. |
