The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a vehicle security service. The method for providing a vehicle security service to a vehicle interconnected to a server and a wireless network according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a signal requesting security mode setting and thereby setting a security mode; monitoring a control signal for a high-speed controller area network (CAN) bus provided in the vehicle; determining whether the control signal monitored is an eavesdropping signal or not; and if the control signal is an eavesdropping signal based on the determination result, generating a particular signal for reporting a eavesdropping detection and then transmitting the same to the server. Accordingly, the present invention is able to effectively prevent vehicle information from being leaked by means of an external apparatus illegally connected to a vehicle. |
