<p>The present invention relates to a link device (1, 40) for supporting an object. The link device (1, 40) comprises an elongated flexible body (2) comprising a plurality of interconnected link elements (3), a tensioning means (4) extending along the flexible body (2) and adapted to provide a tension force adapted to fixate the link elements (3) in relation to each other. The link device (1) further comprises a locking mechanism (7), adapted to adjust the tension force provided by the tensioning means (4) and to maintain a desired tension force. The link elements (3) are consecutively arranged, each link element (3) comprising at least a first engaging surface (5, 45) and at least a second engaging surface (6, 56). The engaging surfaces (5, 45, 6, 56) of two consecutive link elements (3) are adapted to matingly engage each other when the tension force is applied. Each link element (3) is pivotally interconnected to at least one consecutive link element (3), and a plurality of the link elements (3) are resiliently interconnected to the consecutive link element (3).</p> |
