A delta indexing system according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a data source providing unit, an indexer and a searcher in order to achieve one purpose of the present invention. The data source providing unit provides data sources. The indexer differentiates the data sources into a first to nth delta data sources, and provides delta index information included each of the first to nth delta data sources (n is a natural number greater than 1). The searcher combines delta index information, thereby generates integrated index information and then provides a search result corresponding to a search input. The indexer and the searcher can be arranged independent from each other in the delta indexing system according to embodiments of the present invention. In this case, the searcher is able to provide a search result while the indexer is operating. In addition, delta indexer units are able to operate independent from each other and able to perform a distribution processing of a plurality of other data sources at a high speed, whereas search units included in the searcher are able to operate independent from each other and able to perform distribution processing of a plurality of delta index information at a high speed. By using the delta indexing system of the present invention, the searcher is able to perform a search operation independently even when the indexer included in the delta indexing system receives data sources from the data source providing unit and thereby performs an indexing operation, and in addition, the delta indexer units and the searcher units are able to operate independent from each other, thus enhancing the performance of the entire system. |
