SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COREFERENCE RESOLUTION

A coreference resolution system: extracts a reference noun phrase indicating an object from a sentence including natural language; receives a document including the extracted reference noun phrase among a plurality of sentences or documents received from the outside; performs natural language processing in the collected sentence or document; and attaches a thematic role cover. After estimating a behavior characteristic probability from the sentence or document to which the thematic role cover is attached, the coreference resolution system: stores the estimated behavior characteristic probability as a behavior characteristic; and resolves coreference by using the behavior characteristic for the target sentence or document.
