The present invention relates to a data storage device and, more specifically, to a memory control unit which can efficiently generate a control signal to be provided for a memory device, and a data storage device including the same. The data storage device comprises: a nonvolatile memory device; a control unit generating a descriptor in which an operation for controlling the nonvolatile memory device is described to store the same in a volatile memory; and a memory control unit fetching a set of instructions for generating control signals to be provided for the nonvolatile memory device based on the descriptor from an instruction memory. |
