The present invention provides a hair iron for treating hair straitening or waving. The hair iron comprises: a pair of arms coupled by a pivot to be opened and closed, and having a gripping unit in a side close to the pivot; and a pair of heating members disposed to be opposed to the arms in sides far from the pivot, gripping and compressing hair according to opening and closing of the arms, and heating the hair by using an electric heat type heating factor formed therein. The heating member has a plate-shaped pressing surface in an opposed side, and provides an accommodating space of a heating factor on a rear surface of the pressing surface. At the same time, the heating member wraps the surroundings of the heating factor to be shielded. A channel-type protection wall coupled with a fixing factor additionally formed in the arm is integrally formed therewith. Opening sides in both ends are finished by a sealing member, so hair can be treated in both dry state and wet state. |
