The invention relates to a movement and oscillation measurement device for trees, intended primarily to be used as part of a technique for accurately quantifying changes in the at-rest inclination of a tree likely to shift from its vertical position and move gradually from its central axis of equilibrium. The device can also be used to measure the oscillation displacement of the specimen when it is rocked by the wind, as well as to dampen and reduce this movement.
