The present invention provides a monkey wrench which can suppress a backlash or shaking of a slide body as well as an operation body. The monkey wrench (10) according to the present invention comprises: a wrench body (20) having a fixed jaw (21) protruding on a front end thereof, a slide hole (26) formed in a width direction, an operation window (27) which is connected to the slide hole, is disposed closer to a base end side than the slide hole, and penetrates the base end side, and a fitting hole (28) installed concavely in a width direction of the operation widow; a slide body (30) having a movable jaw (31) and a rack shaft (32) formed on a base end of the movable jaw, provided with a rack (34) formed thereon, and inserted into the slide hole to be slid; an operation body (40) having a worm gear (41) geared with the rack whose circumference protrudes from the operation window, and a worm shaft (42) which penetrates the worm gear and is inserted into the fitting hole (28); and an elastically pressing means (50) to elastically press the operation body towards the slide body. |
