A method for determining the distance between an image sensor and a subject comprises the following steps of: obtaining a first image about a subject and a second image differentiated from the first image by using a cut off filter which cuts off one among received red (R), green (G), or blue (B) signals; and determining the distance between the image sensor and the subject based on a change of a blur about the subject included in the first and second images respectively The method guarantees quality of an RGB image made of red, green, or blue signals without lowering the impression of colors about an image under sunlight.
