A method for shielding an object from electromagnetic radiation at frequencies greater than a megahertz emitted from an electromagnetic source, comprising: disposing directly onto the object one or more graphene sheets stackedly arranged and in direct contact with one another, wherein the object includes an electronic circuit and is encapsulated with the one or more graphene sheet, and wherein the one or more graphene sheets are not a component of the electronic circuit; and doping the one or more graphene sheets, wherein at least one or more of the graphene sheets are doped with a dopant having a dopant concentration in an amount effective to reflect electromagnetic radiation at frequencies greater than 1 megahertz, wherein the dopant is selected from a metal salt selected from the group consisting of gold chloride and silver nitrate.
