PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement terminal apparatus capable of ensuring the security, and easy-to-hold for a service provider and easy-to-operate for a service receiver.SOLUTION: The settlement terminal apparatus includes: a first plane having an operation display plane; a second plane at the side opposite to the operation display plane; and a housing having a step part which is formed generally parallel to the edge of one end at the one end side of the second plane. The dimension of the housing neighboring the step part in a thickness direction at the one end side is larger than the dimension in the thickness direction of the housing away from the step part in the other end side. The housing has a non-secure area which has no tamper-proof feature formed at one end side; and at the other end side of the housing, a secure area featured with the tamper-proof is formed. |
