PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition that has a small water contact angle from an early stage after forming a coating film, has excellent stain resistance, weather resistance, and corrosion resistance, forms a coating film excellent in the coating film appearance, and can extend the pot life of a coating material, and to provide a coating film using the coating composition, a method for forming the coating film, and a precoated steel sheet.SOLUTION: A coating composition contains an organic resin (A) and a compound (B) having at least one of a sulfonic acid group and a sulfonate group. Solubility of the compound (B) having at least one of a sulfonic acid group and a sulfonate group is 10 g or less in 1,000 g of water, and solubility of the compound (B) is 10 g or less in 1,000 g of n-butanol, xylene, or cyclohexanone. A solid mass of the compound (B) having at least one of a sulfonic acid group and a sulfonate group is 1.0 mass% or more and 20.0 mass% or less with respect to the total solid mass of the coating composition. |
