PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical long body with which backup force can be improved.SOLUTION: The medical long body (catheter 100) comprises: a linear shaft section 110; an intermediate section 120 extending from the shaft section toward the tip; and a tip section 130 extending from the intermediate section toward the tip, and forming a first curved section 131. When it is assumed that a plane orthogonal to the axis of the shaft section is a first plane P1, and the plane orthogonal to the first plane is a second plane P2, the intermediate section has a waveform region formed of two or more second curved sections 121, the second curved sections are curved in a direction orthogonal to the second plane P2 where the amplitude of the waveform region becomes the smallest when the intermediate section and the shaft section are projected to the second plane, and the first and second curved sections are curved in a direction different from each other. |
