PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter detection device which eliminates a detection coil located in a dead zone and can reliably detect a location of a catheter end.SOLUTION: A catheter detection device comprises: a detected part located at an end of a catheter; and a detection part detecting a location of the detected part. The detected part is composed of a transmission coil generating electromagnetic waves. The detection part has: 4 first detection coils 23B, 23D, 23F, 23H which are located at symmetrical positions with respect to intersections on a coordinate axis on orthogonal coordinate axes respectively and whose respective coil axes coincide with the direction heading for the intersections; and 4 second detection coils 23A, 23C, 23E, 23G which are located at symmetrical positions with respect to intersections of the coordinate axes on the coordinate axes and whose respective coil axes coincide with directions orthogonal to directions heading for the intersections. |
