PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for purifying a material for organic electroluminescent elements, which enables the increase in purification efficiency; a method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescent element, which enables the increase in production efficiency; an organic electroluminescent element; and an electronic device arranged by use thereof.SOLUTION: A method for purifying a material for organic electroluminescent elements comprises the steps of: producing a first liquid solution by dissolving a material for a first organic electroluminescent element in a first solvent including a compound having a partial structure expressed by the general formula (1); and collecting, by separation, the material for the first organic electroluminescent element from the first liquid solution. The solubility parameter &sgr;of the first solvent satisfies the following relation: |&sgr;-9.88|≤0.8.
