The present invention relates to a method for saving power consumption of an air conditioner. The method for saving power consumption of an air conditioner is configured to operate cooling or heating inside while continuously monitoring the indoor temperature at the same time, so as to measure the cooling and heating available temperature using chill or warmth remaining in a heat exchanger. Accordingly, the heat exchanger is stopped operating before reaching the preset temperature by a user. The power consumption is reduced by controlling the indoor temperature to reach the preset temperature by operating a fan. |
