PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform work such as inspection of an enormous number of manholes installed on a place where there are passages of vehicles and people.SOLUTION: A manhole lid management system 2 detects a manhole lip having an attention shape in an image in which a ground is imaged. Image division means 20 divides the image into plural partial image areas which are respectively formed of pixels having pixel values with predetermined similarity. Partial image extraction means 22 extracts an image in a contour determined by shape fitting processing in the attention shape, among the partial image areas which match the attention shape, as a candidate partial image. Rotation invariant feature extraction means 24 creates a rotation invariant texture image based on the candidate partial image, and determines a histogram of the pixel value of the texture image. Lid detection means 26 detects presence/absence of the manhole lid in the candidate partial image, based on the shape of the histogram about the candidate partial image. |
