PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a toner that has a narrow particle diameter distribution, contains less amount of irregular shape particles, and has high circularity.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a toner includes the steps of: (a) mixing a binder resin and a solvent that can dissolve the binder resin to prepare a resin solution; (b) mixing and granulating the resin solution, dispersant, and a dispersion medium containing carbon dioxide in a liquid state or a supercritical state to form droplets of the resin solution; and (c) removing the solvent included in the droplets to obtain toner particles, where the penetration A of the binder resin is 90.0% or more; the dissolving index B of carbon dioxide in the solvent is 40.0 mass% or less; and the dissolving index C of the solvent in carbon dioxide is 2.0 mass% or more and 20.0 mass% or less. |
