PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more properly monitor degradation of a filter by taking into account of an ambient environment.SOLUTION: A filter monitoring device monitors a filter installed in an intake duct. The filter monitoring device includes: a differential pressure detection section for detecting a differential pressure between a pressure of air on an upstream side of the filter and a pressure of air on a downstream side; a humidity detection section for detecting humidity of the air on the upstream side of the filter; and a control device for performing notification when the differential pressure detected by the differential pressure detection section becomes first differential pressure or more when the humidity detected by the humidity detection section is less than a humidity of threshold, and performing notification when the differential pressure detected by the differential pressure detection section is more than second differential pressure higher than the first differential pressure when the humidity detected by the humidity detection section is the humidity of threshold or more.
