PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of improving wet grip performance, rolling resistance, processability and elongation at high temperature by blending a specific amount of C-based petroleum resin modified by a phenol compound having specific properties to a diene rubber.SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by a rubber composition obtained by blending 100 pts.mass of a diene rubber and 1.0 to 200 pts.mass of C-based petroleum resin modified by a phenol compound having a weight average molecular weight Mw of 200 to 1000 and a softening point in a range of -40 to 20°C.
