PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably suppress voltage variation in system voltage without delay even when effective power output by a power generator receiving natural energy varies.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a controller is used for a power generation system that is connected to a power system through an interconnection line and includes a power converter for outputting power generated by a natural energy power supply for receiving natural energy to perform power generation, by performing control based on a command value of a power factor of generated power output, to a point of interconnection with the interconnection line. The controller includes power factor setting means for setting, on the basis of a ratio of a resistance component of system impedance of the interconnection line viewed from the interconnection point to a reactance component of the system impedance, a command value for a power factor of power generated by the natural energy power supply to the power converter in order to suppress variation in voltage of the power system accompanying variation in the power generated by the natural energy power supply. |
