PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welded vehicle body frame which can be made light in weight.SOLUTION: A vehicle body frame includes a first member 35 and a second member 39. The first member 35 has a prescribed wall thickness t, and includes a first plane part 44 wider than the wall thickness t, and the second member 39 includes a second plane part 45 in contact with the first plane part 44. The second member 39 is joined to the first member 35 by bringing the second plane part 45 into contact with the first plane part 44 and then by welding the contact portion by laser beams 48 and 48 in parallel with the first plane part 44. As a result, a welded area is made greatly large compared to conventional fillet welding, so that the vehicle body frame can be made light in weight, by performing welding by irradiating laser beams from a direction in parallel with the plane, while bringing the first member and the second member into contact with each other at the planes and thus reducing a gap between the two members to enable laser welding. |
