PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide air separation equipment that reduces electric power loss in the activation of a device.SOLUTION: Air separation equipment includes: a first air separation plant 1 including a feed air compressor 11 for compressing air and making a feed air, a heat exchanger 151 for cooling the feed air and making a liquid air, and a rectification column 152 for performing separation and refinement of oxygen and nitrogen from the liquid air and a second air separation plant 2; and a dryer 31 for drying the feed air supplied from the first air separation plant or a feed air compressor 21 of the second air separation plant and supplying it to a cold box. When starting the second air separation plant by a starting method of the air separation equipment while operating the first air separation plant, the carbon dioxide and water are removed from the feed air out of the feed air compressor of a starting first air separation plant, while stopping the feed air compressor of the second air separation plant. The above feed air is ventilated through a heat exchanger 251, a rectification column 252, and a piping system of the second air separation plant, and the contained water and carbon dioxide are discharged. |
