PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor provided with a rotation reference enabling highly accurate detection of the rotation reference without using a key groove and a paint regardless of existence/absence of polishing on the outer peripheral surface of the rotor.SOLUTION: A rotor 10 includes a dark color part 13a and a bright color part 13b adjoining each other in the circumferential direction on the peripheral surface 13 thereof. A boundary between the dark color part 13a and the bright color part 13b functions as a rotation reference R. The dark color part 13a is a dark-color chemical conversion coating formed by applying chemical conversion to a metal used as a basis of the peripheral surface 13, and the bright color part 13b has a higher light reflectivity than the dark color part 13a. |
