PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program recording apparatus capable of automatically setting video-recording reservation of a program that matches a user's preference.SOLUTION: A program recording apparatus 100 having a video-recording reservation function comprises an acquisition unit 102 that acquires a program guide and reservation information indicating that a user of the program recording apparatus 100 has reserved viewing of a movie screened in a movie theater; a search unit 104 that retrieves content related to the movie indicated by the reservation information acquired by the acquisition unit 102 from the program guide; and a video-recording unit 105 that performs a video-recording reservation of the content retrieved by the search unit 104.
