PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous operation to start communication against a user's will without requiring the user to perform complex operation at a time of remote dialog communication.SOLUTION: A communication unit used when a caller sends video or voice information of the caller to a called person comprises: an apparatus for obtaining video or voice information; a home server for transmitting communication data indicating the information obtained by the apparatus to an apparatus owned by the called person; and detection units for detecting a detection object which occurs or changes by an action of the caller. The detection units comprise a plurality of types of detection units so as to detect different types of detection objects from each other. The home server starts transmitting communication data when detection results of two or more types of detection units satisfy preset respective conditions.
