PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device preventing operational failure of a peripheral circuit due to light, small in size of a liquid crystal panel, and reducing costs.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a pixel matrix and a peripheral circuit integrally formed on an insulation substrate. The pixel matrix is constituted of at least a plurality of pixels including a pixel capacitor and a pixel TFT. The peripheral circuit drives a gate line of the pixel TFT. The peripheral circuit is constituted of a control part and an output part. The output part is disposed at a position closer to the pixel matrix than the control part when viewed from the normal direction of the insulation substrate. The TFT constituting the pixel TFT and the peripheral circuit has a top gate structure. The pixel TFT has a light shielding metal disposed on a back channel side. The TFT that constitutes at least the output part in the TFT constituting the peripheral circuit has the light shielding metal disposed on the back channel side. |
