PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion system for efficiently converting an input power into an output power, and an electric power conversion method.SOLUTION: A converter section 20 is connected to an inverter 30 via a DC bus L1. Each of converters 21-26 and the inverter 30 are provided with monitors M1 and M2 respectively. Each of the monitors M1 and M2 is connected to a control unit 31 of the inverter 30. The control unit 31 of the inverter 30 executes a variation operation processing on a bus voltage, and executes a comparison processing on the entire loss before and after the variation. The control section 31 of the inverter 30 executes a determination processing to determine whether the loss is reduced. When the entire loss is determined as being reduced, the control section 31 of the inverter 30 executes a change processing which is mainly of variation operation. |
