PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device including a high-reliability drive circuit suppressing generation of a through current in the drive circuit without a problem in a pre-emphasis circuit such as an excessive accuracy requirement of an FET and while having an excellent eye opening of a signal waveform.SOLUTION: The optical semiconductor device includes an electro-optic conversion element 1 including a diode, and a drive circuit 2 for driving the diode forward. The drive circuit includes a first switching circuit 11 including a first switch SWand a second switching circuit 12 including a second switch SW. The first switching circuit 11 forms a first signal line Sto charge the electro-optic conversion element 1 with electric charge by turning on the first switch SWand turning off the second switch SW. The second switching circuit 12 forms a second signal line Sto discharge the electric charge with which the electro-optic conversion element 1 is charged, by turning on the second switch SWand turning off the first switch SW. |
