PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving durability while maintaining favorable driveability when setting up the carcass layer of 1-1 ply-lock structure.SOLUTION: An objective pneumatic tire comprises a tread 1, a pair of sidewalls 2 and a pair of beads 3, and plural carcass layers 4 including the inside and outside carcass layers 4A and 4B are mounted between the beads 3 and 3. The inside carcass layer 4A is wound up from the inside of the tire toward the outside thereof, and the end of the outside carcass layer 4B is disposed on the outside of the wind-up portion of the inside carcass layer 4A. The inside and outside carcass layers 4A and 4B are composed of a polyester fiber cord, respectively. The dimensional stability index of the polyester fiber cord expressed in the sum of an elongation percentage at 2.0 cN/dtex load and a dry thermal shrinkage at 150°C is made to be larger in the inside carcass layer 4A than in the outside carcass later 4B. |
