Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for controlling an operation of an electronic device having a damaged touch region. The method for controlling an operation of an electronic device, according to various embodiments of the present invention, includes the operations of: detecting a damaged region within a touch region; checking location or width information of the damaged region; and performing a touch compensation function, if the touch compensation is possible based on the information. Besides, other various embodiments can be deduced based on technical ideas of the present invention.
