PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent having excellent characteristics of adsorbing and removing Ce and Sr even in the seawater and a method for producing a crystalline silico-titanate suitable for the adsorbent.SOLUTION: There is provided an adsorbent which comprises at least one selected from crystalline silico-titanates represented by NaTiSiO.nHO, (NaK)TiSiO.nHO and KTiSiO.nHO (where, x represents a number of more than 0 and less than 1 and n represents a number of 0 to 8) and at least one selected from titanates represented by NaTiO.mHO, (NaK)TiO.mHO and KTiO.mHO (where, y represents a number of more than 0 and less than 1 and m represents a number of 0 to 10). The adsorbent is preferably produced by a method in which a silicate source, a sodium and/or potassium compound, titanium tetrachloride and water are mixed to obtain a mixed gel and then the mixed gel is subjected to a hydrothermal reaction. |
