PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a container with a satisfactory appearance without causing a crack in the container even when molding a container having a large drawing ratio.SOLUTION: A resin expanded sheet 1 for deep draw molding includes a foam layer 10 containing a polystyrene-based resin. A coefficient of static friction α on one surface of the resin expanded sheet 1 at 110°C is 0.2-4.5, and a coefficient of static friction &bgr; on the other surface at 110°C is equal to or smaller than the coefficient of static friction α. The coefficient of static friction α is preferably more than 0.5 and not more than 4.5. The coefficient of static friction &bgr; is preferably not more than 0.5.
