PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that, when encapsulating a tooth, it is difficult to mold a shape of a dental matrix for use in a dental composite resin, it often depends on a repair after solidification of a filler, and it is not reliable, and that the dental matrix lacks in swiftness of work and there is no ideal dental matrix so far.SOLUTION: The matrix is used as a frame body for enclosing a lateral peripheral surface of a tooth, when a cavity is filled with a composite resin, with the lateral peripheral surface of the tooth with the cavity enclosed. The matrix includes a thick wall portion formed at least one end of the longitudinal direction thereof, where the thick wall portion has a triangular cross section, a corner portion at one end in the longitudinal direction is the widest, and the width thereof gradually narrowed therefrom toward the longitudinally inward into a wedge-like shape. |
