The present invention provides a cathode, and a method and apparatus for manufacturing the same. A cathode composite including a cathode activation material, a binder, and a conductive material is applied on a collector. A gel polymer including lithium salt is applied on a cathode composite layer. The gel polymer is formed by optical polymer reaction in a state in which one or more monomers selected from the group consisting of an acrylate monomer, a vinyl monomer, a (meth) acrylic acid ester-based monomer, and a nitrile-based monomer includes the lithium salt. According to the present invention, a battery using the cathode can ensure safety by preventing disconnection. Consequentially, the output and lifetime of the battery are improved.
