PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine cooling structure capable of promptly cooling an internal structure while ensuring an appropriate flow of a cooling medium.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine cooling structure comprises: a first channel 64a circulating a cooling medium between an interior of the internal combustion engine and a radiator; a thermostat 67 operating to allow the cooling medium to circulate in the first channel if a temperature of the cooling medium is higher than a set temperature, and to shut off the circulation of the cooling medium in the first channel if the temperature of the cooling medium is lower than the set temperature; a second channel 63a merging with the first channel 64a to guide the cooling medium to the thermostat 67 so that the thermostat 67 can sense the temperature of the cooling medium; and a flow straightening mechanism set at a proximate position at which a tip end thereof protrudes from the second channel 63a, entering the first channel 64a, and approaches a temperature sensitive portion of the thermostat 67 if the temperature of the cooling medium flowing in the second channel 63a is higher than a predetermined temperature that is equal to or lower than the set temperature and at a retreat position at which the tip end is apart from the proximate position if the temperature of the cooling medium is lower than the predetermined temperature. |
