PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique advantageous in correcting a recording position shift when two or more recording element arrays tilt.SOLUTION: There is provided a recording device including a recording head having a recording element array in which recording elements forming dots of the same color are arrayed in two lines, conveyance means of conveying a recording medium, and driving means of scanning the recording head for recording while driving the recording head, and the driving order of the respective recording elements in the respective lines of the recording element array is so determined that positions of dots that respective recording elements in a first line and a second line form are complementary to each other. The recording device includes: expansion means of expanding the recording data; specification means of specifying data corresponding to dots formed at positions off an object column due to a tilt of the recording element array; correction means of correcting the expanded recording data so that the dot is formed in the object column by a recording element in the other line; and output means of distributing and outputting the corrected recording data to the respective lines of the recording element array. |
