PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal welding tip for fitting a filter to a vent hole, capable of reliably fixing the filter and achieving neat finishing without causing no wrinkles or splashing in the peripheral part of the filter.SOLUTION: A thermal welding tip 2 allows a filter which prevents water from entering and allows gas to pass through to be thermally welded to the inlet or the outlet of a vent hole disposed on a product formed of a thermoplastic resin. The thermal welding tip 2 includes a tip end face having a heat generating face 5 which generates heat by impulse heating, and a welding edge 4 around the heat generating face 5. A flange 6 is disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the thermal welding tip 2, at a position retracted from the tip of the welding edge 4. The position of the heat generating face 5 is set at a size slightly larger than the thickness of the filter in comparison with the plane of the flange 6, so that the welding edge 4 allows the filter to be pushed into within the wall thickness of the product, deformed in a concave shape. |
