PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable type band saw machine capable of restraining reduction in the service life of a band saw.SOLUTION: A portable type band saw machine comprises an annular band saw, a first saw wheel and a second saw wheel for hooking the annular band saw, and cuts an object by operating the annular band saw, and comprises a tactile switch 37 and a controller 40 for detecting the object before starting cutting by the band saw and the controller 40 for differently setting an operation speed of the band saw when the tactile switch 37 detects the object and when the tactile switch does not detect the object. |
