PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester thick-and-thin yarn with which a fabric (woven or knitted fabric) excellent in bulge and soft feelings, having a touch with a worsted feeling, and having a fabric surface feeling with a reduced moire feeling and with a natural high-class feeling can be produced, and in which lowly drawn single yarn parts and highly drawn single yarn parts having a proper length are randomly dispersed in a longitudinal direction and in a cross sectional direction of a multifilament, and which has an excellent quality free from a residual torque.SOLUTION: There is provided a polyester thick-and-thin yarn with 70 or more of lowly drawn parts 3, in which each single yarn 2 has the lowly drawn parts 3 having an average length of 50-400 μm per 5 cm in a longitudinal direction, a ratio of the lowly drawn parts 3 having a length equal to or less than the average length account for 60% or more of an entire of the lowly drawn parts, and the lowly drawn parts 3 are randomly dispersed. The polyester thick-and-thin yarn has a composite structure in which two different polyester polymers are joined into a side-by-side type and in which the single yarns 2 have melt viscosities difference of which is in a range of 0.1 or more and 0.3 or less. |
