PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for equalizing the pressure in a furnace top hopper of a charging apparatus at the top of a blast furnace for feeding raw materials and fuel into the blast furnace, capable of reducing the amount of inert gas for use, suppressing the degradation of piping or the like, and controlling the pressure in the furnace top hopper with good responsibility even when the feed flow rates of raw materials and fuel are high.SOLUTION: The method includes: a primary pressure equalizing step of introducing the cleaning gas in a gas cleaning apparatus 5 disposed in a blast furnace exhaust gas piping 3 into a furnace top hopper 11; a secondary pressure equalizing step of introducing an inert gas with a pressure higher than the pressure in a blast furnace 1 into the furnace top hopper 11 so as to increase the pressure in the furnace top hopper 11; and a tertiary pressure equalizing step of introducing the cleaning gas in the gas cleaning apparatus 5 into the furnace top hopper 11 when the inside of the blast furnace and the furnace top hopper 11 are communicated for feeding of the raw materials and fuel, such that the pressure in the furnace top hopper 11 can be adjusted. |
