The present invention relates to a light emitting diode (LED) driving circuit, which comprises: a DC/DC conversion unit for converting inputted DC voltage to the different level of DC voltage; an LED array unit for receiving the DC voltage converted by the DC/DC conversion unit to drive the same; an LED constant current circuit unit for receiving the DC voltage converted by the DC/DC conversion unit to provide the same to the LED array unit, and controlling current flowing in the LED array unit to allow current having a predetermined constant value to be flown in the LED array unit; and a protection circuit unit installed in an output end of the DC/DC conversion unit, and removing a condition that current flows toward the LED array unit when abnormal current flows in a circuit, to allow the abnormal current not to be flown toward the LED array unit, in order to protect the LED array unit. According to the present invention, when an LED bar is shorted in the stand-by state of an LED TV, the condition that the current can flow toward the LED array is fundamentally removed, so a large-capacity diode as an overcurrent detecting means in the abnormal state, and resistance are not needed, thereby reducing volume of the circuit and production costs of a product. |
