A ballast water treatment apparatus is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ballast water treatment apparatus has a sterilizing material generation unit to enable a sterilizing material to be supplied to ballast water to be treated by generating the sterilizing material from seawater flowing from the outside of a ship, and may comprise a control unit injecting a neutralizing agent which exceeds the amount of neutralizing the sterilizing material supplied to the ballast water into the ballast water discharged to the outside of the hull. |
