PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting heater and a snow melting structure, easily installable on an existing roof by post-installation, reducing an exposure of a connection cord, and being high in snow melting efficiency.SOLUTION: A snow melting heater includes a linear heating element 16, an outer frame for housing its linear heating element 16 and pressing means for pressing the linear heating element to the outer frame. The snow melting heater 11 is provided with a partition plate 12a for forming a groove for housing the linear heating element 16 in a predetermined position by folding up the linear heating element 16 in the outer frame, and is provided with, as the pressing means, a cover body 17 for sealing the linear heating element 16 housed in the groove in the groove and a spacer 18 for imparting energization force for bringing the linear heating element 16 into close contact with the outer frame in the groove, and is provided with irregular engaging parts 13a and 14a capable of internally hiding a cord connection part 16a generated when connecting mutual end parts of the liner heating element 16 in a short side end part of the outer frame. |
