PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the image quality of a print image.SOLUTION: In the present invention, an exposure control part controls an exposure part when a print object image includes a pattern that has a first part to be formed at a density of a prescribed value or more continuously followed by a second part that is a blank, so that a first area on a surface of an image carrier, corresponding to the first part of the print object image, is exposed at a first exposure to form an electrostatic latent image, while a second area corresponding to the second part of the print object image is exposed at a second exposure of a prescribed value or less. Thus, when the electrostatic latent image on the surface of the image carrier is developed with a developer by a developer carrier to form a developer image, it is possible to reduce the amount of attachment of the developer to the second area to reduce the generation of fogging caused by printing of the developer in the second area in a print image formed on the basis of the developer image, and thereby to reduce the deterioration of the image quality of the print image. |
