PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve capable of adjusting a conductance under a full-closed state to a desired value in advance and performing a fast adjustment to such a conductance as required only through a sliding motion of a valve plate.SOLUTION: A control valve 1 comprises: a valve body 11; a valve plate 12 slid and moved between a position where a valve opening 111 is fully released and a position where the valve opening 111 is fully closed; a seal ring 14 oppositely arranged against a plate plane of the valve plate 12 under its fully closed state; a seal ring driving mechanism 15 for moving the seal ring 14 between the first position where the seal ring 14 is abutted against the valve plate 12 under its fully closed state and the second position where a prescribed clearance is formed between the seal ring 14 and the valve plate 12 under its fully closed state; and a stopper 152 pre-setting the second position to the desired position.
