PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, since higher harmonic waves of a primary power source are reduced by connecting two three-phase bridge rectifiers and connecting loads of equal capacity to both terminals in a conventional twelve-pulse rectifier circuit, if one three-phase bridge rectifier cannot be operated because of any failure, the higher harmonic waves of the primary power source cannot be reduced.SOLUTION: An individually operable higher harmonic wave suppression device includes: a first inverter which is connected with a secondary coil of a twelve-pulse transformer and incorporates a first inverter three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit and a first capacitor; a second three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit connected to a third-order coil of the twelve-pulse transformer; a second switch part provided in wiring connecting the second three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit and the first inverter and conducts the second three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit and the first capacitor built in the first inverter; and first capacitor voltage detection equipment connected to wiring connecting the second three-phase full-wave rectifier circuit and the first inverter for detecting a voltage of the first capacitor built in the first inverter. |
